Frequently asked questions.

We have already hired an Owners Rep for our project, is an Auditor needed?

An Owners Rep is an important part of the construction team. Generally, the Owners Rep is looking at the project from a construction perspective, whereas we review everything with an auditor’s mindset.  Due to this difference, we find issues that an Owners Rep may not. We also perform a more thorough review of costs than what is typically done by an Owners Rep.

How much money do you expect to save?

This really depends on the project and the contract type. In most cases we can save 1-2% of the projects total cost. On smaller project there may not be as many opportunities to find savings, but these projects also require less time to review. No matter the size of the project we will not bill more than we save.

How much time do you commit to the project?

This is up to the client and would vary from project to project.  On one project we may just look at the GMP during the preconstruction stage and on another we may review every invoice and change order, as well as meet weekly with the Construction Manager. Most projects would probably fall somewhere in-between.
